\u00cen contextul actual marcat de instabilitate geopolitic\u0103 \u0219i volatilitatea pre\u021burilor la energie, energia geotermal\u0103 este eviden\u021biat\u0103 ca o resurs\u0103 strategic\u0103, local\u0103 \u0219i durabil\u0103, capabil\u0103 s\u0103 reduc\u0103 dependen\u021ba de importuri \u0219i s\u0103 contribuie semnificativ la atingerea obiectivelor de neutralitate climatic\u0103.<\/p>

Planul AccelerateEU subliniaz\u0103 poten\u021bialul major al energiei geotermale pentru:
\u2022 producerea de energie electric\u0103
\u2022 \u00eenc\u0103lzire \u0219i r\u0103cire durabil\u0103
\u2022 stocare termic\u0103<\/p>

De asemenea, propune m\u0103suri concrete pentru a accelera dezvoltarea acestui sector:
\u2022 crearea unei baze de date geologice la nivel european
\u2022 mecanisme de reducere a riscurilor investi\u021bionale
\u2022 scheme de asigurare \u0219i sprijin financiar
\u2022 consolidarea cooper\u0103rii interna\u021bionale<\/p>

In the current context marked by geopolitical instability and energy price volatility, geothermal energy is highlighted as a strategic, local, and sustainable resource, capable of reducing import dependency and significantly contributing to achieving climate neutrality objectives. The AccelerateEU plan emphasizes the major potential of geothermal energy for:\u2022 electricity generation\u2022 sustainable heating and cooling\u2022 thermal storage It also proposes concrete measures to accelerate the development of this sector:\u2022 creation of a European-level geological database\u2022 mechanisms to reduce investment risks\u2022 insurance schemes and financial support\u2022 strengthening international cooperation For Romania, these directions are particularly relevant, given the significant geothermal potential that remains underutilized and the lack of a dedicated national strategy.
