GeoInnovatePILE Event in Cluj: An Innovative Solution for Renewable Energy in Building Foundations
On February 10, 2025, Cluj-Napoca hosted an innovative event dedicated to the technology of precast energy piles, a fast and cost-effective solution for generating renewable energy from building foundations. The event, organized at HUB UTCN, located at 4-6 Barițiu Street, brought together experts, investors, architects, project managers, engineers, and professionals from the construction and energy sectors to discuss the future of sustainability in construction.
The Romanian Geoexchange Society, a partner in the GeoInnovatePILE project, was proud to support this event, which provided a platform to discuss the enormous potential of precast energy piles as an efficient solution for integrating geothermal energy into construction infrastructure.
About the GeoInnovatePILE Project
GeoInnovatePILE is an innovative project funded by Innovation Norway, aimed at accelerating the adoption of shallow geothermal energy through precast energy piles. In this project, carried out in collaboration between the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), GreenTAGS by Expert Proiect, and the Romanian Geoexchange Society (RGS), modular, precast, patented energy piles are being brought to market, designed to provide sustainable heating and cooling solutions for buildings.
